Professor Lynne Cox
Lynne Cox, PhD is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at the University of Oxford, the George Moody Fellow at Oriel, and Principal Investigator of the lab of Ageing and Cell Senescence at the Department of Biochemistry. She has expertise in the biological underpinnings of ageing and age-related diseases, specifically cell senescence and premature ageing. Prof Cox co-runs the Oxford Ageing Network, the strategy group of the Ageing Research Collaborative Hub, and is a senior member of the student Society of Ageing and Longevity. She also co-chairs the EU Geriatric Medicine Society special interest group on ageing biology, and sits on the strategic advisory board of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Longevity. She earned her PhD at the University of Cambridge followed by a Royal Society of Edinburgh research fellowship at the University of Dundee.
