Paul Russell
Chief Development Officer
A biochemist by training, Paul brings over 27 years’ experience in pharma and biotech, having led global projects for pre-clinical and clinical assets.
Paul was most recently Head of Development at Enterprise Therapeutics Ltd where he led the strategy for all development programme activities (CMC, DMPK, toxicology and clinical) from candidate selection to Phase 2. The lead asset was subsequently acquired by Genetech/Roche.
Prior to that he was Director of Early Clinical Development and Project Leader at RespiVert, a small biotech unit of Janssen (Johnson & Johnson). He also worked at GSK in various roles culminating as Global Head of Respiratory Clinical Pharmacology Science & Study Operations as well as Servier and AstraZeneca.
Outside of work, his passions for sport and travel have led him to represent GB at numerous World and European Triathlon and Duathlon Championships.
